I think that this kind of training can be very beneficial for the troops because it gives them a training experience closest to what combat is actually like. First-Hand experience is invaluable and it will better prepare the troops for combat.
ReplyDeleteI think simulation training is a very good idea because it prepares the soldiers for the actual thing. They can become more aware of what will happen and what to do when it happens. The only negative I can find would be the excessive spending this is causing. I think it is worth the money spent for soldiers to go into war prepared.
ReplyDeleteI think this is a good way to train soldiers for battle. Nearly any situation can be simulated with this method, and with the technology they use it can be extremely realistic. I think the squib aspect of the simulation is pretty cool. The actors have tiny explosives called squibs all over them, and when they are shot with guns that use a laser system to shoot, the squibs react to the laser and explode, giving an entry and exit wound effect.
ReplyDeleteThese kinds of simulations are very effective training tools for soldiers going into battle for the first time. It allows them to apply what they've learned and immerse themselves in a battlefield environment, preparing them for what being in an actual battle will be like. This can help prevent soldiers from performing poorly because of stress, because they will be better prepared and trained to deal with the variety of situations that can arise on the battlefield.
ReplyDeleteI think that this kind of training can be beneficial because it gets soldiers ready for the real thing. I feel like this go very badly if something malfunctions because soldiers might get hurt. But overall it is good.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Erin, I think that simulation is good for soldiers to have training so they will be ready when it actually happens. There is a lot of money that goes into the training but it can definitely be beneficial for them so they will be prepared rather expecting the unexpected. There can also be better results.
ReplyDeleteI believe that the military training via video simulations is a good system of training soldiers. If they're experiencing and the sounds and feels of warfare without the risk of legitimate combat, it can desensitize them to fears of intimidating encounters. I think it could benefit the soldiers because they wouldn't be wounded in practice and further weakened, Very interesting!
ReplyDeleteI think its a good idea. Its going to help soldiers get use to the combat that they are going to be thrown into. Even if it does cost a lot of money its going to help the troops do what they need to do.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Azim, this kind of training seems to be very helpful for the soldiers in training. Especially those who have not seen the battlefield before. Those who are new to this basically get a first hand look at what a real battle looks like. Currently, it seems to be the best kind simulation available to those who are entering the battle lines.
ReplyDeleteI think the "Hollywood" training is a good idea. The ability for soldiers to feel as comfortable in war is vital and if the new training helps them, then that is great. The new training is the closes thing to actual warfare without seriously injuring soldiers. It would be interesting to see how the soldiers who have had the simulation training compare to the soldiers who have had the traditional training and see how their combat techniques differ.
ReplyDeleteI believe this is very good way of helping soldiers learn how to handle themselves in the real situation. The troops will be well prepared for what is to happen in the future and how to coupe with others.
ReplyDeleteI feel like this definitely prepares are soldiers for the real thing. They can know what to expect when they get out there in the real battle. There is probably no chance that i would ever be doing what they are doing. I give them props for what they go through in training. It's amazing how they can make the explosions so realistic and that the bullets can feel like a real bullet.
ReplyDeleteThis is so legit. Its kind of scary how it looks so real. It really seems like real footage from the Middle East. I like how movie making tactics have merged with real life military training. It seems like a very good way to help make our soldiers ready for war. I wonder what the costs are to create even just a day of training. I also wonder how dangerous this experience is. I feel like I could get post traumatic war syndrome from this. Great topic.
ReplyDeleteI think Strategic Operations is very beneficial to soldiers. I think it keeps soldiers from being completely shocked when they enter their first real battle scene. I also think when the actors dress up as people from the area the soldiers are going to help the soldiers understand the environment and what kind of operation they are about to undergo. I think the technology they use is cool because it's very close to real weapons but keeps everyone safe. I really like how they keep the surroundings as close to the real thing as possible to prepare soldiers
ReplyDeleteWhile watching these videos and reading these articles I really became more aware of what goes on during war. The videos scared me a little bit, and war would scare me, a lot. I have a greater appreciation for those overseas than I did before reading the article and watching videos. I would not be able to handle all of the stress such as gunshots and explosions. I think it is good that they are training soldiers like this, because hopefully it takes away some of the shock that comes with war.
ReplyDeleteI believe that this training is a good way to help train soldiers for the war. It helps the soldiers really see what they are about to see at War. I think that it looks very real too, so this will help the soldiers adjust to the war even better because they already know what to expect. And it won't be such a shock to them and they will be able to fight better and protect our country better.
ReplyDeleteThis new form of training is really high-tech. It creates an almost real battle, that makes soldiers feel like they are actually fighting. The only difference between this and the real thing is, if they mess up, they don't actually die. So the training simulation is a good idea but the mindset might be slightly different. When you don't have the actual fear of death, you are not as nervous, there is less pressure, and your adrenaline is not really pumping. But, I doubt a simulation will be created where you actually die if you mess up, so I do believe this is probably the best training so far, and it is worth the money.
ReplyDeleteI think simulation training is a really good idea. It lets the soldiers learn and become conferrable with the situation. Even though the cost of this training is very expensive I think it is very beneficial for the soldiers.
